About Nueces Canyon Arrowheads
Nueces Canyon Arrowheads grew from a love of historical stone artifacts and the stories they preserve. Here in Camp Wood, Texas, we’re proud to share our appreciation for the skill, artistry, and history reflected in Native American projectile points and other stone tools.
At the heart of the museum is a personal collection and a desire to connect with people who share that interest. Whether you’ve collected for years or are just beginning to learn, you’re welcome to visit, see the collection, and talk arrowheads.

A passion shared across generations
For our family, the excitement of finding, studying, and admiring historical artifacts is something worth sharing with the next generation. This photograph of our grandson David captures a little of that excitement.
Come visit
Chris has spent more than 15 years searching for arrowheads and other stone artifacts, often spending five or more days a week surface hunting, hand digging, and screening soil. His collection reflects countless hours in the field and a genuine love of discovering and preserving pieces of the past. We enjoy meeting fellow collectors and enthusiasts and welcome conversations about buying, selling, and trading. Chris is happy to share what he knows about where and when he found individual points. Formal authentication may be considered for select artifacts, but it is not provided for every piece.
